Description
Part 2 in my Reading Tarot series.
“Know Thyself” is the maxim once inscribed over the Temple of Apollo in Delphi. For those who seek just this, the Tarot offers a systemic set of 78 entry points into deeper knowledge and clarity. Many people find it more difficult to read for themselves than for other people; while never dare to read for another person. That is why I created this two-part series; to offer tips, techniques and best practices specific to each of these scenarios.
In “Reading Tarot For Others”, I offer practical advice from many, many years of reading for others. Reading for others is about relationship, and it is your job as the reader to hold the boundaries and containers of that relationship. I’ll show you how to centre yourself and attune to your sitter and how to structure your reading so that it has a clear beginning, middle and end. We’ll face some common fears and anxieties around reading for others and identify strategies for clearing them.
We’ll look at the energetics of a reading: how to keep on topic whilst managing the exchange of information between you, your sitter, the cards, and your intuition.
I’ll be giving you 4 new spreads that I’ve never shared before, and a whole sheet of conversation starters- prompts for engaging your sitter in the reading. And of course there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
What is required
While no previous experience is necessary, please note, this is not a class about card meanings. However, beginners are still welcome. I have a wonderful way of drawing the tarot out of you – even if you think you don’t know a thing.
You will need a tarot deck. I will be using the Waite-Smith deck for demonstration purposes, but you are welcome to use whatever you have.
The class takes place on zoom. It will be recorded and participants will receive the recording.
